Director Richard Lester's (The Beatles A Hard Day's Night and HELP!) quirky yet sumptuously fascinating historical pastiche of a turbulent Cuba in the late 50's during the end of the Bautista regime leading into Castro's reign. Shot in Spain in late '78 early '79, I play a young Cuban revolutionary whose father has been made to "disappear" due to his political views, and who subsequently is hell bent on avenging the honor of his dishonored sister (the latest "flavor of the month" for the self-serving son of a wealthy Cuban landowner and business entrepreneur). It's all so juicy and gorgeously photographed by legendary cinematographer David Watkin...think A Hard Day's Night meets Casablanca!
